Fatima Scipione

Fatima Scipione is a global Patient Affairs executive with more than 25 years of leadership across the biopharmaceutical and nonprofit sectors. As Vice President of Global Patient Affairs at Blueprint Medicines, she leads the strategy, structure, and execution of Patient Affairs as an enterprise function, ensuring the patient voice is integrated across development, access, policy, external affairs, education, and stakeholder engagement.
 

She is recognized for elevating Patient Affairs from a support capability to a strategic driver of business and health impact. A firm believer that patient experience is evidence, Fatima has pioneered initiatives that translate lived experience into actionable insights that inform research, shape care models, influence policy environments, and strengthen access strategies in rare and complex diseases, including blood cancers, mast cell diseases. 
 

Prior to Blueprint Medicines, she held senior leadership roles in oncology, including the International Myeloma Foundation and Takeda Oncology. She is a respected thought leader and advisor dedicated to building authentic partnerships with patient communities and advancing equitable, patient-centered innovation worldwide.
